Who are our customers?
This is a very broad question with, you guessed it, an extremely eclectic answer. We’ve sold to a variety of people from all walks of life. These folks range from fire academy cadets, to avid outdoors men & women. From retired boy scout troop leaders, to axe throwing extraordinaries. From grooms-to-be as gifts for his wedding party, to father and son duos embarking on their first camping adventure. From real estate agents adding some unique flair to home decor, to collectors of antique tools. From people who own a cabin in the woods, to those who enjoy city-living, but experience wanderlust from time-to-time.
Our customers are ordinary people who, like us, enjoy a solid tool that provides a sense of pride and also serves a purpose.
When are people buying axes?
In our eyes there is never a bad time to buy an axe. You never know when it may come in handy. While people are purchasing year round, things really pick up in early spring and then again in November/December. After a long midwest winter, people yearn to get outside and enjoy nature. Camping trips and northern Michigan excursions are planned. Christmas is the time of year to gift a meaningful present to someone you care about. A hand-painted custom designed axe or hatchet says just that.
Outside of Christmas, orders flow year round for groomsmen gifts, birthdays and graduations. Father’s day is also a popular idea. To the right person, a hatchet can be the perfect Valentine's Day gift. Whatever the occasion and whoever the person, we are happy to accommodate and, in the end, put a smile on their face.
